I'm writing this to warn other parents about my terrible online shopping experience with glassesusa. We ordered a pair of glasses for our 12-year-old, but he had trouble seeing with them. A trip back to the doctor confirmed our fears: the pupil distance (PD) was incorrect. The glassesusa site does not prompt you to provide the PD number, and if you don’t know to provide it, they will just assume a value. Of course, that means the value will be wrong for many buyers. This flaw in their system caused immense frustration, which is why I felt compelled to share my story and finally get in touch with their customer service.
Customer: I'm incredibly frustrated. I ordered glasses for my son, and the prescription is wrong because your website just assumed his pupil distance! We had to go back to the doctor to figure this out. Why don't you prompt for a PD?
