I’m writing this as a warning after my horrible experience with Glasses USA. I needed a pair of glasses quickly and their site advertised “eligible for next day delivery.” I paid the extra $19.95 fee, only to receive an email hours later saying my order would take days to even process. This whole ordeal made me feel completely ripped off. This place is nothing more than an automated business that cares nothing about its customers. They are a fraud, ripping customers off for services that they charge for and do NOT provide. After being forced through automated bots, I finally reached a person to demand a refund for the shipping fee I was charged under false pretenses.
Customer: I was charged $19.95 for next-day delivery, but my order isn't shipping for three days. Your website is misleading, and I want that fee refunded immediately.
CS Rep: I understand your frustration. The "next day" refers to the shipping method after the glasses are produced. I can look into the status for you.
Customer: I don't care about your process. I paid for a service you are not providing. My glasses are non-prescription, so what's the delay? Refund the shipping fee.
CS Rep: I do apologize for the miscommunication on our site. You are right to be upset. I will submit a request to our billing department to have the $19.95 fee refunded for you.
Customer: "Submit a request"? It shouldn't be a request. You took my money for a service you failed to provide. It should be an immediate refund. This is unacceptable.
CS Rep: I've escalated it and personally processed the refund for the shipping charge. It has been approved and you should see it credited back within 3-5 business days. My sincere apologies for the trouble.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
